Summer ends.

This blog has long been neglected, as Jacob has more than once reminded me.  This summer has been one of the best.  Living up the working life, free evenings, and free weekends.

Today is my last day as Head TA in the Anatomy Lab, and I am currently proctoring the final lab practical.  This job has been truly fulfilling, although at times exhausting.  I've grown closer to my classmates and made new friends with the 1st years.  I've refreshed on anatomy and grown accustomed to the smell of formaldehyde.  I've planned barbecues and birthday parties and written practical exams every week.  I've worked behind the scenes and given anatomy lectures.  I've worked hard and pranked hard.  We've had a LOT of fun.

My evenings are never boring, and never filled with studying.  I've been cooking, baking, reading, going to Market Night, eating Froyo, making homemade ice cream, working in my yard, picking vegetables from my own garden, watching Olympics, and rock climbing.  The rock climbing has probably been the main focus of my evenings... and I make it down to Riverside about 3 nights a week to climb at Hangar 18.  We've had such a fun crew of climbers, making for evenings full of competitive climbing, much laughing, and hurt elbows.  I've been climbing so much that even opening my dresser drawers makes me think about the perfect hold.

The weekends have been full as well.  Trips to Yosemite, the San Bernardino Mountains, Sequoia National Forest, Zion NP, and Big Bear Lake make it hard to believe school starts up again this Monday.  This summer was incredible.
