There are some really interesting characters in my class. We have a truly entertaining class, and it makes me SO glad I deferred a year. The people in my class have various backgrounds in everything from professional ice skating to hotel management to chiropractic-ness to wrestling to firefighting. Then there's Lindsay - she's a pro cyclist.
We'd talked about riding together several times in the last year and a half... but it never happened, because, well, I was quite intimidated.
Well, yesterday it finally happened. After I confirmed at least 3 times that she wouldn't mind being slowed down, I agreed to come. Seth, Evan, Casen, Lindsay and I rode together, and let me tell you...
Two things: I DIED, and it was SO MUCH FUN. I don't know why I was so afraid because it was so worth it. I need to ride with them more often, it really pushes my limits. We took two laps up to the top of Jedi and finished completely in the dark using 1800 watt Chinese lights (Seth), or in my case - just a headlamp.
I am so sore, but I will no doubt be out there with Lindsay again. So glad I finally got over that.
