Smile

This is one of several projects I've been working on lately. I cut the letters out of Mahogany wood with a Scroll saw. The letters slide in and out like a puzzle. The L and E only come out from the back though - that's a secret trick. I am going to put it in my room at school. Initially, I thought I'd paint it a dark blue with the letters in yellow, fading out to a grayish blue on the edges. But then I decided I just liked the color of the wood so much I'd leave it the way it is.

On a side note, while I was practicing with the saw before making this one, I made a rhinoceros mostly on accident. I just made a few cuts and turns, then my dad made a few and I was like, hey! that looks like a rhino! So I finished it. No picture though, sorry.
